During the months May-August, shellfish in Puget Sound experience natural spawning cycles.  Shellfish shipped during these months may be milky and/or soft.  This is normal and will not affect the wholesomeness of the product, although the shelf-life will be reduced. It is recommended that the product be consumed soon after arrival.
